Deep Within

See the star twinkling in the sky,

It knows what you do,

For it sees your every move.

See the flower of brilliant color,

It only sees its own beauty,

For it only has a short time to live.

See the shadow that follows you,

It catches your every mood,

For it sees the true you.

In every life there is good and evil,

In everything there is beauty,

But you don't see the things with closed eyes.

So look into your heart,

To see the truth that comes from deep within,

For only then can you see as others do.

See the pain for what it is,

See the self that others see,

For there's beauty deep within.

Deep within you'll find a person,

Deep within there is beauty,

Deep within you'll find the true you begging to shine through.
