Crochet Hooded Scarf
Designed by: Anita Eberline

Okay, here the newest crochet stitch learned for me. The "Ribbed Stitch". It wasn't all that difficult to make and I think I did pretty good on it. I decided to make a Hooded Scarf with this because it's such an easy stitch to do. I also liked the look so darn well this way. I do hope you enjoy it. I must give you fair warning though, it's best to work this stitch losely and keep it as lose as possible thoughout the project. Otherwise, it looks funny.

A picture of this item is yet to come. Please be patient.
Matericals Needed:
Crochet Hook Size 7 (4.5mm) (Is very hard to find.) You may use a different size hook as long as you losely crochet the item.
Any color worsted yarn.
Yarn Needle for working in loss ends.

Instructions:

Chain 36.

Row 1: Sc across. Ch 1 and turn.

Row 2: Working in back loop of each st, crocket across. Needs to be a least 6' long when you're finished crocheting it to allow for the pockets on each end of the scarf.

Repeat Row 2 until scarf is long enough to fit over your head and hang down to make the pockets in both ends.

Next: SC around the out side of the entire scarf once.

Next: Fold scarf in half and crochet as follows.

Crochet about 6" of one side of the scarf together to make hood. Break off and work in lose ends.

Pockets: Fold about 9" of both ends of scarf and crochet as you did for the hood. Break off and work in lose ends.

Suggestion: Find a pattern that suits you for mittens to match the Hooded Scarf in color. Crochet those and use as a set.
